Field Archery Club Kings Forest Bowmnan are a Field Archery Club bases a few miles from Bury St Edmunds, and are affiliated to the English Field Archery Association. Field Archery is shooting in woods and forests and necessitates walking from one target to the next. The distances walked will be determined by the terrain and available space that the course setters can use to set out a 14 or 28 target course in safety. The sort of round and distances shot will vary widely. A Hunter and a Field round comprise of 28 targets each, with 4 arrows being shot at each target. These rounds are shot from marked distances varying from 20ft up to a maximum distance of 80 yards.  |
