| Pakefield Ferrets - Working Ferrets Display |
Simon Whitehead’s Pakefield Ferrets The UK’s premier ferreting displaySimon Whitehead’s Pakefield Ferrets will be demonstrating in his own unique manner, the why, what, when, where and how’s of ferreting. During his twice daily demonstrations Simon will be showing why the ferret, the ferreter’s dog and the ferreter himself are fast becoming a more sought after pest controller in the countryside and towns of the UK. See the bond that unites the ferreter with their dog and ferrets, watch the ferrets work in a simulated days ferreting and of course, listen to just why it is vital that not only people understand why we ferret but more importantly, get newcomers into the countryside to continue this fine tradition. Luckily in these modern times, Simon can demonstrate the traditional country skills of ferreting that have survived the growth in technology and with such passion and enthusiasm, Simon shows just why the Pakefield Ferrets motto of "ensuring the tradition of ferreting IS continued for further generations" illustrates how the life of the ferret and rabbit are so deeply entwined.
Complementing his informative, entertaining and educational demonstration is a purpose built display unit that shows a collection of high quality pictures, diagrams, TV screen showing a days ferreting, netting etc and illustrations along with literature highlighting just why ferreting is becoming a more popular and in some area’s essential traditional pastime. During the show Simon will have a tv screen showing his latest film" Rabbiting with friends Pt 1", along with his other three, "The ferret Man" and "Ferrets and Ferreting with Simon Whitehead ,his book "Ferreting for the Future" and the improved popular lightweight bowback ferret carrying boxes will also be for sale. |
